Hello Everyone

Its good to be back, big wave to longstanding members who knew me from a few years ago, and hi to all those who have joined since. I'm Billie and have been bookbinding since 2008, as well as bookbinding, I also post tutorial videos on You Tube and regularly post reviews and inspiration on my blog.

For anyone looking for some intersting surface decoration and who wants to try some experiments with Acrylic paint, do check out my online workshop

Adventures in Acrylics.

There is a dedicated workshop page, where all the links to posts will be added. And a grab button on the blog too, if you want to add a quick hop to the class page to your own site.

Class starts Friday 4th May 2012

You will find a materials list and more details about the workshop on the Adventures in Acrylics page.

This is an ongoing workshop and as well as sharing written and video tutorials, there will also be product reviews about tools and materials as well as some inspiration in the form of finished items I've created/decorated with the techniques I share in the tutorials.

I do hope you will join me for this adventure, with a small palette of colours and lots of experiments, I'll show you how to create some exciting results with the materials. Given the current economic climate, this a free series, so now you don't have to choose between the cost of the course and the materials Wink

Looking forward to seeing you there soon, best wishes

Billie

Any questions, just ask, here or on the blog

If you would like to achieve the look of a wooden book, without the weight, here is a video that I made to show how to create a painted effect to make mount board (or similar), look like a wooden board.

Weathered Wood Paint Effect

Hope you like it and will give it a try. Would love to see what you create using it.

Best wishes

Billie Smile
